Welcome to The Bike Bosun where we are passionate about promoting and supporting the health and well-being of our community by ensuring safe and efficient bikes.

As a Cytech Certified* veteran-owned bike repair business in Northern Sydney, we understand that cycling can provide huge benefits either as a proactive exercise regime or for injury rehabilitation; both mental and physical. We are particularly supportive of our DVA TPI Veterans.
​
For the bulk of the community, bikes can be simply for the pure enjoyment of exploring our community, and for kids, a critical development skill in balance and motor skills.
Whatever your purpose for getting on two wheels, we believe you need to both do it safely, and also take care of what can be an expensive purchase. We provide that through a thorough and professional repair and service regime to look after your investment in your personal or family’s health.

Baby Bosun Safety Review: $40
We’ll give your smaller bike the once over to ensure that it is safe to ride and fit for our growing children.

The Port Visit - Routine Service: $100 (recommended after 30 hours of cycling)
We’ll give your bike the basic service, clean and tune up to ensure your ride is operating smoothly and safely. Designed as a quarterly once-over.

The Refit - Intermediate Service: $150 (recommended after 50 hours of cycling)

The Dry Dock - Major Service: $300 (recommended after 100 hours of cycling)
We’ll give your ride the strip down to ensure a thorough review of everything that moves, rotates, clips or clamps and ready for another 12months of solid use or sooner if you’re putting in serious miles!

We understand that whether you are a serious cyclist, a young rider (or parent of one), or using cycling for rehabilitation, it's not always easy to get to your bike mechanic. So, if it suits you best, we'll pickup and return your bike on completion.

We've also shared the frustration of not being able to get an appointment at your major bike shop when needed, with sometimes months to wait. If commuting, you also might need your bike the next day for work. So, our hours are flexible to suit your needs. If its after hours, give us a shout and we'll work to get it back to you by the next day. If you're out on a ride enjoying the numerous local cycle routes and tracks in Northern Sydney and your bike has let you down and left you stranded; give us a call and we may be able to get you out of trouble. If we can't fix it, we can at least get you home!

As a Veteran-owned business, and one who has found the benefits of cycling for injury rehabilitation or fitness, we are particularly focussed on our fellow veterans. If you hold a Department of Veterans Affairs status as a Gold Card holder, you'll only pay for parts and consumables; the labour will be free of charge to get you back on the road. If you are a White Card holder, including all current serving members of the ADF, you'll enjoy 25% off our full price services.
